how it began
our story
Cedar Gate (CG) Fund Lebanon established Cedar Gate Fund USA in September 2022 to serve as a primary financial conduit in support of CG Fund Lebanon’s vision, mission, objectives, and values.
Donating computers is not enough if there is no power supply.
Installing solar systems is not enough if there are no teachers to teach the computer classes.

Awareness
To raise awareness of how the multiple crises in Lebanon (including hosting the highest number of refugees per capita in the world, dealing with over 80,000 internally displaced people, and coping with a severe economic meltdown) is affecting the education and livelihoods, particularly of youth and women, in Lebanon.
Support
To support CG Fund Lebanon’s programs guided by needs assessments, working with local partners to address the economic empowerment of youth and women through education and skills development.

Cedar Gate Fund USA is focused on CG Fund Lebanon’s programs that are in
line with Cedar Gate Fund USA’s purposes and support Lebanese public
schools, institutions, nonprofit organizations (or non-government organizations – NGOs), social enterprises, and initiatives in:
Education
Ensures all students receive quality education and develop the skills necessary for today’s digital world. The Education Program includes three projects essential to bringing digital transformation to public and underfunded schools serving marginalized populations. Purpose: To finance and support initiatives committed to implementing programs of economic and educational empowerment for youth and women in Lebanon.
Livelihood
Creates opportunities for youth and women by helping to build the capacity to achieve economic empowerment. The Livelihood Program helps marginalized youth and women in Lebanon gain job-ready skills through the Tools for Success Project. Purpose: To strengthen efforts to create sustainable job opportunities for all residents of Lebanon.
Humanitarian Response
Responds to humanitarian crises targeting vulnerable communities affected by emergencies across Lebanon. The Humanitarian Response Program is designed to meet the most pressing needs of people affected by conflict or natural disasters quickly, when urgent help is needed. Purpose: To raise and donate charitable funds in support of non-politically affiliated Lebanese NGOs.

Ensures your donation goes to support CG Fund Lebanon’s programs. Operation expenses are privately funded, so 100% of your contribution goes to the projects you are passionate about.
Works directly with CG Fund Lebanon. CG Fund is on the ground in Lebanon with an office in Beirut, and a staff monitoring where your money goes, how it is being spent, and the impact your donation is making.
Encourages you to support a school or organization which CG Fund Lebanon has vetted, in an area of Lebanon of your choosing, so you can be sure your donation is being used to maximize impact as they work with over 25 trusted partners all over Lebanon, including the Ministry of Education and the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO).
